I would not buy this product.

The Snow Bunny by Cal Exotics is a clitoral vibrator with a handheld, cord remote. It does not look like a bunny, frolicking happily in the snow. Why do I want a bunny stimulating my clitoris anyways, and why does it have to be a pink one? Oh right- because I’m a lady, of course (sarcasm). One of its worst features is the packaging. The box is offensively tacky: pastel pink with a model on it. The make of the toy is cheap, but considering it’s made by Cal Exotics for a low price, this is not surprising. It doesn’t even come with the 2 AA batteries required to operate it.

The bunny is made of porous material, making it not very safe compared to other materials such as 100% food/medical-grade silicone, glass, or hard plastic. The bunny appendage fits onto the bullet. The bullet could be used by itself, which may be a tad more hygienic, but perhaps less enjoyable than the less hygienic TPR squishyness.

The one thing that gets me the maddest about this product is the cord. So, even though the toy is stimulating me down below, I have to hold the remote to control the settings. The toy itself doesn’t really fit in one place, thus making me want to move it around while using it. This kind of makes the handheld remote and cord a bit unnecessary, and a hassle, because I’m still using two hands to operate it. The toy would be better off with the batteries in the toy itself rather than in a separate compartment, because at least then I can operate it by using only one hand.

The vibrations are loud, even on the lowest setting. It isn’t for those sneaky masturbatory sessions that you want to hide from your roommates. The risk-taking is not all that worthwhile as well, because the setting is only for vibration intensity. There’s no variable pulsations, and even the vibrations themselves could be stronger. So the wimpy vibration strength does not compensate for the cost involved with using a noisy vibrator.

When using this toy, I held the squishy bunny against my clit, and it mainly felt like a vibrating mound of squishyness. Perhaps there is a time and a place for such a thing, and while it wasn’t totally unpleasant, I would rather spend my money on other more successful alternatives. Overall, I think there are better clitoral toys within a similar price range.

The package did not come with any storage pouches, so I’m forced to keep it in its box for now.

Alison Tyler succeeds again with editing a great collection of erotic stories. This book is quality entertainment, not to mention sexy as all get-out. The title, “Slave to Love,” describes perfectly the theme; the power dynamic within sexual encounters establishes a heightened experience of vulnerability, shame, pain, and pleasure.

The power exchanges show us, the readers, that sometimes we need to relinquish some power to a trustworthy person, in order to reach new-found heights in sexual submission and dominance. It takes a strong, willing person to be so vulnerable and open to another person or persons, yet the results can be so rewarding, perhaps even life-changing.

While I often do not consider myself a kinky person, I have come to realize that there are people kinkier and more vanilla than I. Yet the one trait that comes out with reading and enjoying this book is that I am open-minded and willing to be adventurous. This book includes an array of sexy stories, and yet the specific adventures might not turn everyone on. What I think reading this and other erotica books involves is seeing sexual stories through others’ eyes and picturing why and how those scenarios can be so sexy and arousing.

Did I ever considered pony play or daddy play in the past? Never (until now). Nor do I consider myself to be entirely submissive. Yet when I read a “Slave to Love,” I imagine pleasing a dom (or becoming a dom) in order to share an heightened experience with another person(s).

While I appreciate the diversity and creativity found within this collection, not everyone will. Some people might not enjoy experiencing or witnessing a power exchange within erotica, whereas others will find it absolutely arousing. I urge those who want a taste of some power play stories, while perhaps not wanting to act them out in real life, to check out this book. This book and other collections edited by Tyler are always written extremely well, and they are at the very least creative and entertaining.

Lelo Ella Review

The Lelo Ella is a quality toy; it is small, slender and simple. Either end of the Ella can be inserted vaginally, and the curved tip is designed for G-spot stimulation, or it can be a handle.

This toy can be used during solo masturbation, or one person can use it on another. I liked using it with other toys simultaneously. This toy is not ideal for anal play because of its shape.

The material is silicone and the surface has a semi-matte finish. I would not say the dildo’s texture creates any drag. It has a smooth feel to it, and is solid, non-porous, and unyielding. The texture feels nice except when it gets wet, as it is difficult to grasp firmly for rougher penetration.

The Ella, with its 7 inches in length (5 inches insertable) and 1.25 inches in width, did not live up to my expectations. While this dildo was a bit on the small side for me, that does not mean that it might not be ideal for you. I tend to get very, naturally lubricated when I am aroused, and so with the Ella being a bit smaller and smoother than expected, it did not succeed in such an environment. I wanted to use the toy to stimulate my G-spot specifically, by inserting the curved tip vaginally first, but the wetness caused the smooth shaft-of-a-handle to become far too slippery. While I had less issues being able to firmly grasp the head and insert it vaginally in the opposite direction, this did not maximize any G-spot stimulation, which was the main reason I bought this dildo.

While the toy has a pretty ideal shape, I would love it if was overall bigger: in length and girth. The size limits my ability to maximize the Ella’s design and performance. I did have awesome success combining the Ella with the We-Vibe II because the We-Vibe limited the accessible space in which the Ella could be inserted. Since I felt fuller, I could use the Ella by holding the head, and it still felt great even though I was using the Ella in the direction that was least satisfactory. For the same reasons, the Ella works great in double penetration play as well–with a butt plug inserted anally, for example.

This dildo can be cleaned with soap and warm water or a 10% bleach solution, and it is boilable and dishwasher safe. Since it is made of silicone, it can be used with lubricants that are not silicone-based. The Ella comes with a gift/storage box, a display shelf and a satin bag. These aid in easy, varied, safe storage for this dildo. Do not store the Ella so that it touches other products, because materials from different products can interact negatively, causing each other to become distorted.

Pros:
Body-safe material, easy and safe storage, name brand, aesthetically pleasing

Cons:
Limited usage by itself for G-spot stimulation

A Summer-y Christmas: Candy Cane Review

The Candy Cane is a cute, lovely glass dildo made by Don Wands and offered by Eden Fantasys. In addition to its creative look, I like several other aspects of this dildo.

The fact that this is styled to look like a big candy cane lends itself to the perk of it having a natural handle to hold onto. The slender build and the curved handle are a great start for a G-spot dildo. This toy is limited in its design in that it does not have a curved, wider tip on the longer end of the cane for G-spot stimulation. Since this is stem is straight and unyielding instead, it isn’t the best at pressing the roof of the vagina. You can bend it, but as it is glass it can only be bent so much comfortably. The curved handle might be at the right length to hit the spot, as both ends are insert-able.

While this toy alone might not get me to a messy, sweaty, vaginal orgasm, it still has other admirable features that I like. I often am in the mood for a dildo that is hard and slender for a quick masturbation session although that is not for everyone. Glass holds temperature rather well, and I absolutely love the cool feeling the toy has when I first use it (even at room temperature). Cold temperature play feels good and adds a thrill. A chilly candy cane dildo and some ice cubes? Winter wonderland, people! (Cheesy I know. Christmas in July. Nearly.)

Although this dildo is made of a safe non-porous material that is ideal for anal play, I do not recommend using this toy anally. It is unyielding, very firm and long. If you want vigorous anal stimulation, I would not risk using such a hard toy roughly. Perhaps for gentle, slow anal insertion it would be okay. I prefer to keep my vaginal and anal toys in separate camps anyways.

This candy cane is 7.5 inches long and 1 inch in diameter. It is made of smooth, tempered glass that is totally hygienic and body safe. This product is boil-able. It comes with a puffy pouch for storage.

Beaded Nipple Clamps: a Review

These decoratively jeweled clamps are exactly what they say they are: clamps. Do not be fooled by their seemingly innocent appearance!

I think these clamps are cute and feminine. I do like hanging them from my nipples even if they are a simple accessory that I couldn’t easily hide underneath my clothing. No, these are purely for show when they are already exposed.

With my relatively small nipples, I really have to secure these clamps on tightly to ensure they don’t fall off. Sometimes they fall off even after I make them as tight as I can stand, which might go to show either that these are designed better for somewhat larger nipples or that my self-inflicted pain tolerance is fairly low (I would say a little of both).

It is a little bit of a thrill that even these adorable little jewels inflict a worthy amount of pain. As I enjoy slight pain and nipple stimulation, this aspect makes the jewelry that much more worthwhile and appealing. Once they are on, the pain does go away. What my main problem involves is being able to keep them on for extended lengths of time.

While I enjoyed this product for what it is, it does have a limited use. What I would like better would be clamps with flexible metal tassels- like a necklace chain- to be able to wear them underneath clothing.

The clamps are made out of metal and have protective coverings on the ends that pinch the nipples. The jewels on the tassels seem to have plastic beads on them.

Overall, I like these beaded nipple clamps for what they are, but must be critical on their limited functionality They have a simple use that can be fun but also limiting.
